artist statement
At the end of the day, the art I make is about figures, faces and places. Growing up the son of a carpenter and a touch-typist, I learned early to make things with my hands. At the Art Students League and Cooper Union, I learned how to look, see and be the first witness to the drawings and paintings I make.
I use oils, acrylics and digital media to create vivid and memorable work on canvas, board and paper with the goal of making lasting works of American realism to be enjoyed by you and your family for generations to come.
